Keep Coming Back at Lincoln Lodge
Keep Coming Back is a monthly comedy variety show on the second Saturday of every month at the Lincoln Lodge, featuring standups and storytellers doing material on various types of recovery.
This unique show features a different line-up of stand-up, story-telling and sketch. Performers will share their experience, strength and hilarity on how they recovered or are recovering from all sorts of conditions - from getting clean and sober, to being ill, weight problems, debt, and heartbreak!
These are serious life matters but that doesn't mean we can’t laugh at them because laughter is great medicine! Hey, if these performers can get through it, you can too. You just have to keep coming back!

We Are Not a Glum Lot Recovery Comedy Tour is a touring stand-up comedy show, produced by Laura Hugg & Jimmy Carrane and a rotating line up of comics that lovingly roast 12 step programs and their culture! Hire us to entertain your anniversary potluck, your group conscience or your plain, ordinary whoopee party!
Stand Up Grandpa! Comedy Open Mic
The “Stand Up Grandpa! Comedy Open Mic” was originally “The Laughing Academy Open Mic”, a feeder mic of sorts, for the students of The Laughing Academy, to give them a nearby mic to practice material. Laura came on as host in 2023, around the same time she became one of the stand-up comedy instructors there. This past August, The Laughing Academy closed it’s doors and Laura will continue to host the open mic in the basement of the iconic Grandpa’s Place in downtown Glenview!
The list goes out in person, at 6:30 pm. The mic starts at 7pm. Performers get 4+ minutes depending on the length of the list. It’s free to perform, & to watch, so come join us!

BABS Babes Improv & Kidprov
BABS Comedy Club, located in Forest Park IL, opened it’s doors in 2024. Owner Emily Ramirez features a a program of stand-up, short form improv and sketch comedy, as well as classes, an open mic & an improv jam. I became a cast member in the first round of auditions and regularly perform along with my talented castmates for the prime time shows and the Saturday kid shows! I am also an instructor of the BABS Comedy training center.
GreenRoom Improv
GreenRoom Improv is a long running, short form, comedy sports style improv show performing in the Chicagoland suburbs. Laura joined the cast in 2025. GreenRoom Improv performs first Fridays at The Hemmens Cultural Center in Elgin Il, and one Saturday a month at The Raue Center for the Arts in Crystal Lake IL.
